My name is Karolina Metrak and I'm pleased to meet you!
I would describe myself as a visual arts designer. I got my education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Escuela Superior de Diseno and Design Academy Eindhoven. I feel at ease with product design, but my heart belongs to graphic design, and it is in this field of visual arts that I feel the strongest.
In my practice, I value the role of research. I believe that this is the cornerstone of any successful project. I pay much attention to details, especially in graphic design. Thanks to several years of work in the publishing house and design studio, I am sensitised to the importance of paying attention to detail.
I have gained experience in a publishing house, design studio and thanks to my determination in pursuing my goals. During my studies, I worked as a bartender and floor manager in Amsterdam restaurants, where I also honed my interpersonal relationships and control of my team in stressful situations. It also taught me excellent time management as I was able to divide my time between day studies, work and private life.
